The Opportunity Our summer internship is a 4-6 week programme for students who want to see how technology consulting works in practice. You'll join a live team from day one and work on real problems for clients, rather than a side project. The programme runs during the summer from our Newcastle office. What you'll do at work Help design and test technical and analytical approaches to real problems Build and evaluate prototypes using a variety of languages Work alongside experienced developers, data specialists and consultants Share your ideas and findings with colleagues and clients Our Support A dedicated buddy and an internal mentor throughout the programme Regular check-ins with your line manager to review your progress What makes a great candidate A genuine interest in technology, data and problem solving Strong academics and a track record of achievement in a quantitative or technical subject Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including explaining technical ideas to non-specialists A proactive, team-oriented attitude, with the ability to work independently when needed Programming experience is desirable, but curiosity and willingness to learn matter more A strong appetite to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Interest in financial services or defence is a plus Qualifications Currently studying in the penultimate year of a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline A strong academic record The right to work in the UK for the duration of the programme What we offer Mentorship and support from experienced professionals Growth opportunities: the chance to be considered for our graduate programme Work alongside exceptionally talented people on projects often closely tied to world events and trends Learn from industry experts how financial markets and world economies work
